How We Price our Products

All prices are shown in £ Sterling, including VAT at the current rate.

Most UK Mainland deliveries are charged at our current Post and Packing (P+P) rate which is shown at the top of each of our catalogue product pages.

Where the packed weight of an order exceeds 2Kg and/or it is necessary to use a National Courier Service, the following Scottish Postcode areas are charged at a higher P+P rate; AB30-38, AB44-56, FK17-99, G83, IV1-28, IV30-39, IV52-54, IV63, KW1-14, PA21-33, PA34-40, PH18-26, PH30, PH31-41, PH49-50.

UK Mainland excludes Northern Ireland. Offshore Islands are charged at a higher rate (some Islands with a road bridge link to the mainland are still classed as mainland).

Where the delivery cost is greater than stated on our product and checkout pages, you will be advised the additional cost BEFORE your order is processed and your card charged. We will not process payment until you have agreed the additional cost, or you may cancel your order at no cost. Orders delivered to Non EU countries will be charged excluding VAT. We will always advise of additional charges before we process an order or debit your credit/debit card. Please note that because of damage in transit risk we do not ship all welders off the UK Mainland.

Methods of Payment

Payment may be made by most debit or credit cards (excluding American Express). If you select the "Cheque Payment" option please wait for us to send you an Email confirming the total payable. Please note that cheques will require 5-7 working days clearing time before we can despatch your goods.

How We Deal With Your Order

After you have placed an order on our secure server you will be shown a confirmation of your order; please print and keep this confirmation. We will not debit your card until your order is ready for despatch. If we cannot despatch your goods within 3 working days of receiving your order we will Email you, before despatch, to confirm you still wish us to proceed. If you do not, you will not incur a penalty and your card will not be debited. All orders are sent via Interlink Express, Parcelforce or Royal Mail, our choice of carrier will depend on the size, weight and value of the consignment. Your Invoice will be sent either with the goods or separately by post. Please keep this invoice as proof of purchase as you will need to quote the "Document Number" in the event of a warranty claim.

Delivery of your Order

Most orders are sent via a delivery service that requires goods to be signed for. If you are not going to be available to sign for your order it is important that you let us know as soon as possible (preferably at point of order), so that we can make alternative arrangements with you, i.e. a different delivery address or leave with a neighbour. Our courier will normally make two delivery attempts, before returning the goods to us. Please note that if the goods are returned to us after two failed delivery attempts your order will be regarded as cancelled and you will be responsible for the cost of the goods being returned to our warehouse.

Please unpack, check and test your goods immediately as we cannot accept responsibility for goods damaged in transit unless such damage has been reported to us within 2 working days. Machines should be tested to ensure they are functioning correctly as transit damage may not be visually apparent. Claims for transit damage MUST be made within 2 working days of receipt. Where transit damage is reported with two working days of receipt, The Welders Warehouse Ltd will, after inspection, refund the cost of returning the goods to our premises.

Please unpack and check your order immediately to ensure the goods supplied are those that you expected. If there is a problem, you MUST call us within 7 days to address the problem. After 7 days the goods will be regarded as correct and accepted.

Cancelling Your Order

You may cancel your order without giving a reason.

If you wish to cancel your order before we have shipped your goods to you, please email or telephone. There will be no cost liability.

After we have shipped the goods, simply let us know during the 7 working days following receipt of the goods via email or telephone and we will issue a returns number. Please note, you will be responsible for the return shipping cost and for the items being returned in a saleable condition, ie in the original packaging, unopened and unused. The Welders Warehouse will not be responsible for items damaged in return transit. The Welders Warehouse Ltd will however consider any genuine claim which you may have.

Your money will be refunded within 30 days.

Please note that where goods are returned to us under a warranty claim and found not to be at fault, the customer will be responsible for the cost of the goods being returned to them and may be responsible for an inspection charge.

Disposal Of Your Old Welding Equipment

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation 2006 Statutory Instrument 2006 No 3289 (WEEE) requires all Electrical and Electronic Equipment be disposed of environmentally. Under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation 2006 Statutory Instrument 2006 No 3289, each member state of the European Union under Article 2 of the Directive has to seek to minimise the disposal of Electrical and Electronic Equipment as unsorted municipal waste and seek to achieve a high level of collection of Electrical and Electronic Equipment for treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal. The amount of Electrical and Electronic Equipment the UK throws away is increasing by around 5% each year, making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Much of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment we throw away ends up in landfill, where lead and other toxins can cause soil and water contamination. This, in turn, can have harmful effects on natural habitats, wildlife and human health. Many items of Electrical and Electronic Equipment that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save our natural, finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending Electrical and Electronic Equipment to landfill.

As a consumer, you have a responsibility under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulation 2006 Statutory Instrument 2006 No 3289. When you have finished with your Electrical and Electronic Equipment you are responsible for its environmentally sound disposal. You may have noticed the crossed out Wheelie Bin symbol on Electrical and Electronic Equipment. This is to remind you that you should not dispose of the equipment in general municipal waste, but seek to treat, recycle or dispose of it in an environmentally sound manner.

As a responsible retailer, The Welders Warehouse can help you with this. When you buy a new item of Electrical and Electronic Equipment from us, we will accept your old equipment and dispose of it for you, subject to the following conditions:

1. The Electrical and Electronic Equipment we have supplied is a like for like replacement for the equipment you wish to send back for disposal.

2. You inform us, in writing, that you wish to do this and disclose details of the equipment you wish to send back and by which method you will be sending it (Courier/Royal Mail etc).

3. Once we have processed your written request we will issue an "Electrical/Electronic Equipment Returns Authorisation" form. The "Electrical/Electronic Equipment Returns Authorisation" form then needs to be returned with the equipment.

4. The equipment is returned to us no later than 28 Calendar days after delivery of the new equipment.
