Formed in 1993 by Graham & Tina Rhoades the company started out serving local industry in the Herts, Beds, Bucks & Northants area. In 1999 the website was launched, allowing the company to sell nationally and internationally to both professional and enthusiast welders. In 2000 the website was approved by consumer group Which and gained their prestigious "Which Web Trader" status. In 2001 the website achieved another accolade by being declared "Website of the Month" by Practical Classics magazine. In 2005 the company was accredited by the Government backed "Trust UK" scheme which vets websites for legitimacy and security.
The company's customer base spans a wide range including Classic Car Enthusiasts, Manufacturing Industry, Education Establishments and Local Authorities.
Despite considerable growth over the years, the company remains family run and has maintained its founding principles of offering friendly, professional customer service backed by sound technical knowledge and efficient distribution.
